Alton Towers

Alton Towers!

I went to Alton towers with my school at the end of this school year and took way too many pictures! Instead of annoying everyone on Instagram and spamming them with pictures of the trip, I thought I would post them here.

I just wanted to post some pictures on here and I really enjoyed editing these! I am definitely going to post more pictures on here. I don't really have much to say really, so that's the end of my post for today, I hope you are having a good holiday/ I hope you have settled in to your school year!!

Thank you for reading,
Photogenic trees. peace signs and tired eyes.

Year 10 - Part Three

To start this post off, I wanted to say that I am so sorry for not posting in a long time. I had literally nothing to write about which isn't an excuse, it's just the truth.

So anyway, back to what this post is actually about...YEAR 10! My opinions have kind of changed since I last wrote about it. Although I still totally agree with the fact that it's hard work, I haven't really written about any other factors that could change in year 10.

1. FRIENDS!
So the first thing that could change in year 10 is your friendship group. Now, this could be a good or a bad change, you could have more friends than ever and be extremely happy or you could be the complete opposite. If you're in any of these situations, just know that you are NOT alone! The person sitting across from you in the canteen could be feeling the exact thing as you- you never know. I personally think that you should really experiment with the type of people that you hang around with because you can meet so many new people and have a variety of friends!

2. COMPARING GRADES...
Grades are important. I believe that. However, I also think that especially in year 10, you don't need to worry about what your latest mark was or whether you got full marks on a test. I will put my hands up now and say that I am extremely guilty of doing this, I was always checking my grades and then comparing it to everyone else in the class. That is the WORST, ugh. After I compared myself to the cleverest girl in the class, I just felt bad about my grade; I know now that I shouldn't do that because me and her are different people and we obviously aren't going to get the same grades. So try not to stress about grades too much- that comes in year 11! Someone might be great at maths but I might be good at another subject. Everyone has their own talents and hobbies so instead of comparing our abilities, we should start to celebrate and support each other which in turn will make us happier! (I felt very inspirational and uplifting writing that, haha)

So there you go, I know I only wrote about two things but I feel like I have said all that I need to say. Those are just the things that changed for me but many other changes could happen to someone, I just felt like these were the most significant factors in my life that have adjusted.

Thank you for reading,
Hugs, cheesy smiles and real talk,

Year 10 Part Two

So, I have written a blog post about Yr10 and how I was kind of scared but excited to go into it. I wrote at the end that I would update you on how it is and whether my feelings have changed or not. So, here it is for you; my thoughts on year 10 so far...

Firstly, I want to start off with saying that I think year 10 is going ok. It is a lot more work than you do in year 9 but I prefer it and I think it’s a lot better. Before I chose what subjects I wanted to carry on with, I knew there were certain subjects I didn’t want to take because I thought that it was just a waste of time. Looking back on it now, I almost miss geography and art but at the same time, I’m happy with what I chose.

Although drama is a lot of work, the outcome of a performance is really good! Because drama is based on coursework, there is a lot of writing; we have to write about what we did in the lesson every week which takes so long, ugh! Also, when I first chose sociology, I’m not going to lie, I had no idea what it was about. I remember being so scared of the subject and I didn’t even know the teacher. In all honesty though, the teacher is so funny and I’m so glad I have chosen it. Sociology is the opposite of drama, there is only one exam, which scares me a bit, to be honest but I think it will be worth it in the end. (I think I want to take it for A level!) Maths is my worst subject because I am so bad at it; surprisingly though, I’m getting kind of better at it. I’m actually starting to understand some of the work, ahh! I am so weird, I understand the hard work but make simple mistakes along the way, and it’s too stressful.

In my recent exams that we did, I got an A in biology! I still can’t say it without a shocked expression on my face. No one in my class had a bad score and for that, I am really happy for everyone! (There are way too many explanation marks in this post!) In history, I got a B and was one mark off of an A. I was so made at my teacher for not giving me the mark, but I am so happy with what I got, I honestly was not expecting it. As for sociology, I was so sure that I did terribly but I managed to scrape a B. I was so happy with this but was mostly surprised because I honestly thought that I had failed.
Overall, I think that year 10 is going really well, I need to be in a positive mindset because negative thoughts just get everyone down. That’s all I have to say about year 10, so the next time I write about it will be at the end of the year. Until then, stay positive and just smile!

My New Year's Resolutions

Hello everyone, so today I am sharing my new year's resolutions (as you can tell by the title.) I am sorry I haven't uploaded in a while, I took a break from writing because I wanted to focus a little more on school. I don't want to make excuses, I am just telling you what I was doing.

1. Get to my goal weight.

I know that this resolution is the most popular one ever! I always make this resolution but with no real intention of losing weight. This year, I really want to get in better shape. If I can do something to make me happier, I will and so should you!

2. Drinking more water.

This one ties into losing weight so I won't go on about it. I just need to drink more water if I want to be healthier. Drinking water helps with your skin so that is an added bonus.

3. Get better in school.

I really want to achieve the grades that I want in school so I need to work hard. I don't want to be too serious, though. I think that being fun and serious is a good mixture.

4. Improve my content.

I really want to start putting up more posts that are to do with photography and maybe even cooking. Although, I don't cook so you will be lucky to find a recipe. I want to have amazing content, not something that is just 'ok'.

5. Start saving my money.

I never usually save my money, I always spend it. I need to save my money because I am always broke, ugh.

That is the end of this post, be sure to follow me on here and leave a comment. I hope you have an amazing new years, whether you are going out, or just staying in watching movies. (That is so what I will be doing!)What are your resolutions for next year and be sure to update me how you are doing?! Anyway, I hope you have a good one!

My Bucket List

There are so many things that I want to do before I die, some of these things are more serious than others. Also, I am not putting these in order so let's get straight into it!

1. Go to Greece and Thailand.

2. Go to Turkey.

3. Fit in to a size 8 or 10 again.

4. Own at least one Mac lipstick.

5. Experience a sunset or sunrise.

6. For a stranger to appreciate my photography.

7. Build my own house.

8. To buy a good camera.

9. Go to Disneyland.

10. Whiten my teeth.

11. Get another piercing in my ears.

12. To pass all of my GCSE's.

13. Put a lock on a love bridge.

14. Get a hot drink from Starbucks.

15. To make someone else happy.

Smile

A smile on someone's face can mean anything. Some people smile to get through pain but some people smile because they can, because they want their happiness to radiate from them.

I smile all of the time; anyone who knows me will tell you I am always either smiling or laughing. I can't stress enough how important I think smiling is. It may not seem like such a big deal to you but, if, for example, someone is having a bad day (for whatever reason) your smile could be that little push they need to get through the day. I don't know about you, but being the cause of someone's happiness- even if it's just for a second is the best feeling ever.

The moral of this very short message was to smile (in case you didn't already get that)! When you are feeling down, you would want a little smile to get you through the day! Keep in mind that that Queen B herself once said: 'A woman is most beautiful when she smiles' I love everyone that has read even a word from this blog, thank you.

Favourite YouTubers

This is a list of all of my favourite YouTubers, if you couldn't tell by the title. If you are ever bored and want to watch some new content, I suggest you subscribe to them. These are not in order because that would be too hard for me so here we go.

1. Gabriella Lindley (Gabby). I have mentioned Gabby before, anyone that knows me knows that I am obsessed with her. I love how she is not afraid to speak up about what she believes in. She makes beauty/fashion videos. As of right now, she has 693k subscribers but she deserves so much more!

2. The second YouTuber on my list is Eve Bennett. She is 15 and makes beauty/fashion videos too. She is so relatable to teenagers as she is one herself. I have only been watching her for a couple of months but she is in my favourites because I have grown to love her, A LOT! She has 64k subscribers and I honestly want her to have so many more subscribers because she is so cute!
